Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected through Carry-On Companions’ quote, agreement, and review forms.

Information you provide

Quote requests collect your name, email address, phone number, contact preferences, pet details, pickup and destination information, travel dates, and any notes you choose to share. Personalized agreements also retain the issued itinerary, itemized price, terms version, acknowledgments, electronic signature, acceptance time, and confirmation number. Review submissions collect a pet name, pet type, public destination, optional display name, rating, review text, publication permission, and an optional pet photo.

How we use information

We use quote and agreement information to assess, price, document, and coordinate your requested trip and contact you about it. We use reviews to understand your experience and, with your express permission and owner approval, share feedback on this website. Contact information from trip requests is not used for unrelated marketing.

Reviews and photos

Review submissions start in a private moderation queue. Only approved reviews with permission are displayed publicly. Public cards show the chosen display name, pet name, city/state or airport, rating, approved text, and an approved photo or branded thumbnail. Do not put a street address or private contact details in your review. Original review text is retained separately from moderation edits.

Optional photos are resized in your browser and saved as JPG images; the browser conversion removes original file metadata. We store the processed image, not the original full-resolution upload. Photo publication requires separate permission.

Storage and service providers

The website uses OpenAI Sites for hosting and access control, with Cloudflare database and object storage for submissions, agreements, and photos. Owner management pages require sign-in and an authorized owner account. If email delivery is enabled, Resend processes notification messages. Payment buttons lead to the payment service URL shown on the issued quote; payment providers handle payment information under their own policies.

Cookies, drafts, and spam prevention

This website does not currently use advertising or analytics tracking. A quote draft is stored in this browser session only when you choose “Save for later.” Sign-in services may use cookies needed for authentication. Submission rate controls use a hashed network address and short-lived counters to limit automated abuse.

Contact and requests

To request a correction, removal of a published review or photo, or deletion of submitted information, contact hello@mycarryoncompanion.com. Include enough information for us to identify your submission. We may need to verify that the request relates to your information.
